Before we dive into fantasy football tips for this week, I want to make my League Championship Series prediction in bold: Yankees in 7. Giants in 6. I wouldn’t exactly bet the farm on either. The NLCS has the look of an absolute classic series.
Off we go to football:
Week 6 Byes: Buffalo, Cincinnati, Arizona & Carolina. (A free tip: don’t play anyone on these teams.)
Start Pittsburgh’s Defense: Let’s all welcome high school college NFL quarterback Colt McCoy to the show. This could get really ugly. Expect the Steelers defense to unload an absolute house of pain on the hapless Cleveland Browns. McCoy makes his debut in one of the toughest stadiums to play for real NFL players. So, there’s that. Projected line for the Steelers defense: 6 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 touchdown. I also think the Browns may score naegative points.
Start LaDainian Tomlinson: Why, hello there. Look who decided to show up this season. Running for nearly 100 yards on Monday night and breaking off 134 against the Bills on the road in week four, Tomlinson looks like the guy we all remember in San Diego. Even though he splits time with Shonn Greene, Tomlinson still can break off a forty-yard run to the house on every play. I love him against the Broncos defense that gave up over 200 yards on the ground to Baltimore.
Sit Tony Romo. What an awful late game on Sunday. The 1-3 Cowboys visit the 1-3 Vikings in a game that looked great in August. Romo hates the Metrodome and doesn’t play well against the Vikings. Even after tossing for three scores and over 400 yards against the Titans last week, I still expect Romo to cave in against the acceptable Vikings defense.
Only three picks this week. We’ll check our work on Tuesday. Enjoy the games everybody!
