Chatting With Till

Till is a 60-year-old man who doesn’t like soccer, but really wanted to be part of this World Cup experience. He can’t wait to see Steven Strasburg pitch tonight and thinks members of my generation have poor social skills.

I know this because he’s in my booth at Alonzo’s and won’t shut up.

“Do they count forwards or backwards in this thing,” he asks with his sunglasses on in the dark bar.

Till’s like everyone else here, except he’s the  only one wearing shades.

We’re still waiting for the first goal.

There’s just one half left.
