Nobody Home

With five days until post time at Pimlico Race Course for the Preakness Stakes, the grand total of visitors at the Stakes Barn remains at zero.

No Super Saver. No Lookin At Lucky. No nothing.

A plane carrying up to 10 horses for the Grade 1 race on Saturday will arrive on Wednesday afternoon. That’s just enough time for these world class trainers to get their horses comfortable to Pimlico’s track, run the race and get the hell out of town.

It’s disheartening that Nick Zito and Todd Pletcher would rather train at Chuchill Downs or Belmont Park than at Pimlico.

It should be a fun five days at Pimlico starting tomorrow.

It’s a shame we couldn’t have six or more this year.
