Nick Adenhart

Sometimes news happens that flat out comes out of left field.

Nick Adenhart, who pitched six scoreless innings for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim last night died in a car crash after the game. Two other people died in the early morning accident this morning.

Apparently, a car sped through a red light and stuck Adenhart’s vehicle. Just a shocking, sad story that baseball has seen a few times over the last decade.

The reverberations of the story have hit the Oriole Park press area. One baseball lifer said that he saw that game and that Adenhart pitched his tail off against the A’s on Wednesday night.
