Wrecking The Tournament

Even if they lose by 40 points to Florida State on Friday in the quarterfinal round, we cannot call Georgia Tech a bad team anymore.

The Yellow Jackets beat Clemson 86-81 to end the afternoon session in the opening day of the ACC Tournament.

Lewis Clinch scored 32 points in 35 minutes to help lead the Jackets to a stunning victory. Gani Lawal had many big buckets down the stretch, finishing with 20 points and 14 rebounds. That’s a man’s line.

Clemson had six men in double figures, but couldn’t put away a pesky Yellow Jackets squad that confused the Tigers defense and made them play their game.

Congrats to the 12-seed as they march on to face Florida State tomorrow afternoon.

To recap, Miami pops off the bubble while Georgia Tech still has hopes of running the table for a magical run to the NCAA Tournament. Don’t think it can’t happen.

I’ll be back later tonight during the Maryland/N.C. State game and Boston College/Virginia matchup. Keep in mind that I’m 0-2 on the day. I’m on fire.
