Par Three Jinks

I’ll go out on a limb here and say that Rory Sabbatini will not win the Masters this year. Not only did Sabs win the Par Three Contest yesterday at Augusta (the kiss of death for anyone who wants to win a free dinner jacket), he’s 3-over-par as he makes the turn in the first round.

If you remember correctly, Tiger Woods once started out with 40 on his front nine in two Masters tournaments and won both of them. Rory Sabbatini is not Tiger Woods and will never win a major championship. But you can never take away that precious Par Three title. Way to go.

Quick leaderboard update…

Four leaders at 2-under-par include Mark O’Meara, Ian Poulter, Luke Donald and 2007 winner Zach Johnson. Tiger’s  two shots back at even on the eighth hole.  Dash of Dachille selection Justin Rose sits three back of the leaders at +1.
