Here He Comes

After consecutive bogeys on 13 & 14, Tiger Woods just chipped in for an eagle on the 15th hole. With three holes left to play, Woods sits at even par – just four shots back of leader Justin Rose. Does the charge towards the top of the leaderboard start right now? Hard to tell, since Woods can’t make a putt of any length so far in his opening round.

1988 Masters Champion Sandy Lyle just made a putt for birdie on the 12th hole and is only one shot back of Rose. Usually a past champion makes a run near the top of the board on Thursday, but we haven’t seen Lyle play this top shelf brand of gold in a while.

On 18, Zach Johnson looks to stay on the front page. Last year’s champion had a slight hiccup on 17, but looks like a real threat to defend his title this week.
